"RYT 200, Teaching Classical Yoga & Gentle Vinyasa"

Melanie began practicing yoga in 2018 with Cat Meffan online. In December 2022, she was given a membership to Yajamahe Yoga as a gift and began practicing classical yoga with Yvonne Suzuki Licopoli who became her mentor. In December 2024, she completed her Yaja Hatha-Raja 200 Hour Teacher Training at Yajamahe Yoga.

Melanie practices advanced classical yoga in her daily life. She reaps yoga's physical benefits while remembering that yoga is not only the asana practice; it has eight limbs. Her intention is to lead a yogic lifestyle in diet, health, philosophy, and mindfulness.

Melanie believes proper alignment and focusing on the breath are the keys to a safe and healthy practice. Her classes can be challenging for experienced students, or modified to make postures more easily achievable for beginners or those preferring a more gentle practice. All her classes are grounded in classical yoga with the intention of building prana in the body and calmness in the mind.
