Jenna Smolinski

Jenna began her yoga journey by practicing on and off for a few years. After experiencing physical and mental illness in 2021, she began practicing more frequently, and found that yoga was the one thing that could ease her mind and body. She eventually reached out to Nicole and enrolled in the Just Breathe 50 class, interested in learning more about everything yoga. While Jenna’s journey began as a way to try to heal, she became fascinated with yoga as she learned there was much more to it and came to love the practice. After completing the 50, she enrolled in the 200 teacher training with the goal to try to help people through yoga, the way that yoga has helped her. Since taking yoga more seriously, Jenna has improved her physical and mental conditions dramatically and the philosophy learned in the 200 training has helped her through dealing with a drastic career shift. With the support of her family and the community at Just Breathe, Jenna completed the 200 teacher training in May 2023 and is continuing her studies through the meditation teacher training. While she currently works in Student Life at a college, she is also pursuing a masters degree in adolescent education, with the hopes to teach high school social studies. In her free time, Jenna likes to be outside, make crafts, travel, and explore different aspects of yoga.

Slow Flow Yoga I/II (in-studio)
with Jenna Smolinski
1 hour and 30 minutes
Recommendations: Yoga I . In a world of fast pace everything, Slow Flow Yoga is mindfully transitioning asanas meant to release stress and build body-mind-spirit awareness. This class is soft and smooth but always challenging. It promotes efforts to find your edge and deepen your practice, with poses held for an extended period of time, facilitating a deeper release. Therapeutic in nature, you will build flexibility, while immersing yourself in a relaxing class that moves at a perfectly slower pace – allowing ample time to enjoy each pose. Expect lots of deep stretching and lingering floor poses. This is an intermediate levels class, slightly faster paced that Yoga I with challenging poses and/or basic flowing sequences may be used. Poses may be held longer, preparations and practice of inversions can be introduced.
