Melinda Hesker

Melinda has been practicing yoga for more than 20 years as a part of her personal wellness routine. In her quest to improve her own practice, she enrolled in a teacher training program. She is a 200-hour YTT-certified instructor through Yoga Sanctuary, where she developed a deeper understanding of yoga and the importance of being present, both mentally and physically.

Her passion for holistic wellness extends beyond yoga and into her field of aesthetics. As an aesthetician with over 15 years of experience, she embraces a holistic approach when helping her clients achieve their skincare goals.

She enjoys spending time outdoors, listening to audiobooks, hitting local coffee shops and farmers' markets, and spending time with her daughters and dogs.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga that involves long holds in various seated and reclined poses. The poses are held for a long period of time, typically three to five minutes or longer, to target the connective tissues such as the ligaments. The practice is more meditative and focuses on accessing deeper layers of fascia and quieting the mind. There are three tenets of Yin Yoga: find your edge where you can feel the stretch but without straining; remain still; and allow yourself to stay here for time.

Gentle Evening Yoga Flow

Gentle yoga is essentially what it sounds like—a gentler style of hatha yoga practice. It is performed at a slower pace, with less intense positions, and includes extended time for meditation, yogic breath work, and relaxation.
